While doing my rhetorical essay, I struggled on the thesis because I left my organizer at home. It was also difficult to remember some of the things I wrote on the organizer. I believe that I was successful at explaining what was the ad’s purpose. I learned that it is easier to write an essay when you have your organizer with you because then you wouldn’t have to think about what to write. I want to know if we are still going to be using rhetorical devices in this class.

I agree with Abby about struggling on the thesis statement because I struggled on writing it as well. Even though I had my information, and my graphic organizer, it was hard for me to come up with a proper sentence that conveyed my thoughts and answered the prompt entirely. I think it would be easier for us write a thesis statement if we talked to our teacher and our peers about how they would write a thesis statement.

I forgot to fill it out my organizer and it was kind of a problem. Overall, I think I did a decent job on explaining the purpose of the ads and I agree that it’s easier to write an essay if you a have a chart.

I also felt like I was struggling with my thesis statement. I had my graphic organizer but, I feel like I didn’t prepare it enough to do this essay. Even though I didn’t prepare as much as I felt like I needed to, I just used my memory and still ended up getting a good grade.I hope you still did well on the essay and hopefully next time you feel way more prepared 🙂

GIRL SAME. Sorry you left your graphic organizer at home 🤧I felt like the graphic organizer was helpful with the essay because without it, I don’t think I would’ve understood. Overall, I still wonder if we’re learning more rhetorical devices because there are so many🤔.
